Tertral
This modern holiday cottage is nestled in the peaceful countryside and woodlands of this charming area of Brittany and Ille et Villaine. Whilst being peacful the house is still only 3/4 minutes away from the pretty local villages of Roz Sur Couesnon and St Marcan. The village of Roz boasts a bakery , butcher , grocery store , bar and hairdressers. There is also access to a post office via the grocery store. The bakers is shut on Mondays but the grocery store makes sure to take delivery of fresh bread and pastries to ensure the locals get their regular , daily fresh bread.This village also has a small garden area high on the hill which overlooks the bay of Le Mont St Michel and Cancale and is ideal for panoramic views of this famous bay.
Groundfloor
The groundfloor has an open – plan living area. The living space has a large Kitchen / Dining area equipped with microwave , kettle , coffee machine , toaster , full sized oven and hob , washing machine and fridge / freezer . The kitchen also has a double sink area with lovely views over the lawns. The dining area has a family table for 4 with chairs and an additional dresser provides extra storage for those all important wine galsses ! Further along from the dining room you will see a small vestibule from which there are 3 doors. One leads to the modern shower room , with shower unit , wash basin and toilet. The second doors opens up to a large double bedroom with iron bed , wardrobe , side tables and chair. The third door leads into the bunkbed room. Again this room has a wardrobe, side table, cahirs etc and has the added bonus of looking out over the large lawned areas and the terrace.
Further along from the dining area we have a cosy sitting area equipped with two large and comfortable sofas with a handy coffee table. This lounge area also has a full sized TV with Sky free to view channels and a dvd/video player. There are also a wide range of films and books to choose . Double doors from the lounge open up onto a large paved terrace and Bbq area and onto the vast lawned areas that partly surround the house.
The Terrace
There is a lerge patio area which overlooks the large garden and the pretty lane and woodlands beyond. Its a fabulous space for playing ball games , badminton , or flying kites. There is also an area to the side of the house which would make a fantastic boules court.
Exploring Brittany
Whilt the cottage is in a quiet location , Tertral is ideally situated for exploring Brittany and Normandy and is convenient for most of the ferry ports. The walled , seaside town of St Malo is only 25 minutes away , the ferry port at Caen is 90 minutes away , Cherbour is a couple of hours, le Havre is around 3 hours and the tunnel is approx 5 hours away. We also have access to the airports at Dinard 30 minutes away and Rennes – 50 minutes away.
We are also very lucky to have Le Mont St Michel on our doorstep. The seaside and seafood mecca of Cancale is only a 25 minute drive along the old coastal sea front road. The charming and medieval towns are a short drive away too.

- October – April * : £250 / 300 euros
- May – Mid June * : £300 / 360 euros
- Mid June – July 3rd * : £350 / 420 euros
- July 4th – August * : £475 / 570 euros
Prices are per Gite, not per person and include all bed linen ( pillowcases, duvet covers and mattress covers ) . Towels ( hand , bath towel and flannel ) are available to hire at £3.50 / 5 euros per set. Prices also include 40 units of electricity , after which we charge 0.15 euros per extra unit. Gas for the oven and hob is included in the price , along with water and holiday taxes. Wood for the wood burning chimney is available at a cost of £10 / 12 euros per wheelbarrow full. Cots with mattress , duvets, pillows and linen, highchairs, baby baths, potties , toilet reducers and child safety gates are available free of charge on request. Note that an exchange rate of £ to 1.2 euros will be applied .
